Geopapa (hereinafter "Company" or "we" or "us") are committed to protecting the privacy of your personal data. This Privacy Policy applies to anyone who visits a website owned by the Company, downloads any software, installs any mobile applications (including the parent app and the child app "Geopapa Kids"), and/or uses the Company's products and services offered at https://geopapa.com (collectively referred to as the "Geopapa Service").

This Privacy Policy describes how Geopapa collects, uses, transfers and protects the personal data of users of the Geopapa Service (the "User(s)", "you", or "your", as the case may be). The Policy also describes your choices regarding the use, access and correction of your personal data. Capitalized terms used in, but not defined in, this Privacy Policy have the same meaning as in the Geopapa Terms of Use (https://geopapa.com/terms) ("Terms").

We will notify you if material changes have been made by indicating in our Privacy Policy the date it was last updated. 1What is personal data?

Personal data is personal information such as your name, phone number, email address and any other personal information about you that is linked to any of the above information. Personal information does not include general information, which is general user data that we collect about the use of Geopapa. Our Privacy Policy does not restrict the collection and use of aggregate information.

2.1What personal information does Geopapa collect?

The information you provide to use the technologies:

Information about registration and profile. When you create an account, we may collect your personal data such as your username, location, email address, mobile phone number, and photo if you add it to your account. When you add a child to your account, we may collect the child's name and photo. We may collect billing information when you subscribe to the Geopapa Service. We may collect additional information from parents to obtain verifiable parental consent for a child's use of the Geopapa Service.

Geolocation. We collect your location data for the purpose of providing the Geopapa Service. We collect information about the location of the child to send you notifications when you have indicated that you want to be notified when your child arrives at or leaves the selected location. If you turn off location sharing, the location of your family members will not be available. However, when you log into your account, we continue to collect information about your location and the location of your child in order to provide the Geopapa Service. We only store location information for as long as it is required to provide the Service, and then delete the location data.

Messages and User Content. We collect information when you send messages to other members of your family using the Geopapa app. We may also save any communications you send to us.

Geopapa collects sensitive personal information only when you voluntarily provide this information to us or when such information is required or permitted to be collected by law.

2.2Accessibility Service (child device)

The "Geopapa Kids" child app uses Android's Accessibility Service (AccessibilityService API) to enforce the app-blocking and screen-time limits that a parent configures for the child. The service accesses only the package name of the app currently in the foreground on the child's device (i.e. which app is open). It does not read on-screen content, the text you type, passwords, messages, or any other screen data. When the open app is blocked by the parent's rules or a screen-time limit is reached, the service shows a blocking overlay and returns the device to the home screen. Foreground-app detection is processed on the device; we do not transmit a continuous record of app activity. We may send the parent the child's current protection status (for example, whether blocking is active and whether the required accesses are granted) so the parent can manage the service. The Accessibility Service is used only for these parental-control functions and for no other purpose.

2.3Microphone and audio (child device)

If the parent enables it, Geopapa can use the microphone on the child's device to (a) stream live ambient audio to the parent in real time ("listen to surroundings") and/or (b) record short audio at the parent's request. Audio is captured only when the parent actively initiates it from their account; it is not recorded continuously or in the background without that action. Live audio is transmitted to the parent's app. Any audio recordings are stored only as long as necessary to provide the feature and can be deleted by the parent. The microphone is used only for these parental-monitoring features.

2.4Installed apps and screen time (child device)

To let parents manage app blocking and screen-time limits, the child app collects and sends to our servers the list of apps installed on the child's device (app name and package identifier) and app usage / screen-time information (how long apps are used). This information is used solely to display app activity to the parent and to let the parent configure blocking rules and time limits. It is not used for advertising and is not sold.

2.5Automatically collected information using technologies

When you use the Geopapa Service, we and our service providers may collect certain information about your device using technologies such as cookies, web beacons, log files or other tracking/recording tools. The information we collect through these technologies includes, but is not limited to, IP address, browser information, referring/exit pages and URLs, clickstream data, how you interact with links, domain names, landing pages, page views, mobile device type, mobile device identifiers or other persistent identifiers, and location data collected from your mobile device. Some or all of this data may be combined with other personal information described above. This automatically collected information is used to keep you signed in, provide and personalize the Service, monitor the performance of the Service, track aggregated usage statistics, diagnose and fix technical issues, and update the mobile app.

2.6Children's Privacy

Geopapa is a parental-control service that allows parents to locate and protect their children on mobile devices that the parent has added to their account. The Service is intended for children under 13 only with verifiable parental consent. If a parent wishes to add a User under 13 to a Family Account, the parent must submit Parental Consent (in accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), 1998) via email at support@geopapa.com.

Personal data relating to a child — including location, microphone/audio, installed-app and screen-time data, and on-device activity used for blocking — is processed only to provide the parental-control Service to the parent. We do not use personal data for advertising and do not share it for advertising or marketing purposes. If you believe we may have inadvertently obtained information from a child under 13 without parental consent, please contact us at support@geopapa.com and we will delete it.

3How does Geopapa use personal information?

Generally, Geopapa collects, stores, uses and discloses information so that we can: provide the Geopapa Service; create an account; identify you as a user; respond to your inquiries and emails; improve the application; send you administrative and service messages; and measure and improve the performance of the Geopapa Service.

3.1Third Party Analytics

We may collect analytics data or use third-party analytics tools (such as AppsFlyer and Firebase) to help us measure traffic and usage trends of the Geopapa Service. These tools collect information sent by your device, including pages you visit and other information that helps us analyze and improve the Service. We use anonymous aggregate statistics that do not personally identify Users.

4How does Geopapa share your personal information?

We share your personal information, such as name, email and location, with other Users who share the same Geopapa family subscription with you. From time to time, we may engage service providers (for example, hosting, crash diagnostics, push-notification delivery and analytics providers) that have limited access to user information solely to help us provide or improve the Service, under appropriate confidentiality obligations; they may not use this information for any other purpose. We may disclose personal information where we believe in good faith that it is required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of the Company, our Users or others. Except as described in this Privacy Policy, we do not sell personal information, and we do not use or share personal data for advertising or marketing purposes.

5How does Geopapa protect your personal information and how long is it retained?

The security of your personal information is important to us. We use commercially reasonable efforts to store and keep your personal and location information secure, and we have implemented procedures designed to limit unauthorized access, use or disclosure of your personal information. We encrypt the transmission of location data using secure technologies. Despite these measures, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. In the event of a security breach affecting your information, we will take reasonable steps to investigate and, where required by law, notify affected individuals. We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. A parent can delete a child profile and associated data from their account, which removes that data subject to legal retention requirements. When we no longer have a legitimate need to process personal information, we will delete or anonymize it.
